This weekend I went up to Humboldt State University with a few of my friends (Jamie, Amber, Angie, and David). It was AMAZING! I love everything about the campus! It is located in Arcata (Northern California) in the Redwoods, and it is cloudy ALL THE TIME! While i was up there it was 65 degrees while here in Clearlake it was in the high 80s! The campus is nuzzled in RIGHT into the redwoods. Giant trees are everywhere and surround the dorms.

I have already paid my deposit on a dorm and these are the ones i will be staying in.

They are located on the outskirts of the campus and you have to walk up a big hill to get to them. Once i got up the hill ALL WAS QUIET! I was astounded. Everything was so clean and it all looked like it did in the pictures! There is even a "secret" walkway down into the community forest right from the dorms I will be staying in.

As for the city, it is Amazing as well. All the buildings, including the businesses, are old and victorian style. In the middle of the city they hold a farmers market every week where i scored a 6 dollar Japanese Maple Tree!!!!!! Everyone was really nice and answered any questions you had for them. No one was in a hurry. People stood by and chatted, traffic moved relatively slowly compared to most places and the cars were really accommodating for the masses of people crossing the streets.

Humboldt county has a great public transportation system which HSU students get to ride free. It goes anywhere you need it to within humboldt county. Im not even going to bring a car, i can get where i need to with public transportation.

I will be visiting the campus again in July, and hopefully once even sooner. Tereese better be coming with me this time as my guest. She has to see the wonderful campus. Like i said a million times. Everything was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
